My Junior School – Mecheda (Little Hands) is committed to providing children with a joyful, caring and child-friendly foundation where they can learn, explore and grow with confidence. We believe that early childhood education should nurture the whole child — intellectually, emotionally, socially, creatively and physically — through love, encouragement and meaningful learning experiences.
Our vision is to nurture confident, curious, responsible and future-ready young learners while developing strong values, creativity, independence and respect for others.
We provide a safe, colourful, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves, asking questions, making friends and discovering the world around them.
Our teaching approach combines play-based and activity-based learning with storytelling, rhymes, music, art and craft, practical activities and age-appropriate academic concepts. Children are encouraged to learn through observation, participation, experimentation and real-life experiences, rather than relying only on memorisation.
Age-appropriate exposure to technology further helps children become comfortable with the changing world around them while keeping meaningful, hands-on learning at the heart of their preschool experience.
We believe that parents are important partners in a child's development. Regular communication, sharing of progress and parent participation help us work together to understand and support the individual needs of every child.
What makes MJS Mecheda special is its combination of caring preschool education, activity-based learning, creative experiences, technology awareness and individual attention. Our aim is not merely to prepare children for the next class, but to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning, confidence, creativity, good habits and responsible citizenship.

A Happy Beginning to the Learning Journey
Our Playgroup programme gently introduces young children to the preschool environment through play, rhymes, stories, music, movement and sensory experiences. Children are encouraged to explore and interact while gradually developing communication, social, motor and self-help skills in a warm and caring environment.
Exploring, Discovering & Learning Through Play
The Nursery programme introduces children to early language, numeracy, environmental awareness and creative expression through engaging activities and hands-on experiences. Children learn to observe, communicate, participate and become increasingly confident and independent.
Building Skills, Curiosity & Confidence
Our Junior KG programme strengthens foundational learning through age-appropriate experiences in language, early mathematics, general awareness and creative expression. Children are encouraged to ask questions, think independently and understand concepts through observation, participation and practical experiences.
Preparing Confidently for the Next Step
The Senior KG programme prepares children for a smooth transition to primary school. Along with strengthening literacy and numeracy readiness, emphasis is placed on communication, logical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, social development and independent learning.
Fun, Creativity & New Experiences
Our Summer Camp provides children with an enjoyable combination of learning and recreation through creative activities, games, art and craft, music, movement and group experiences. Children get opportunities to explore new interests, interact with friends and enjoy meaningful learning experiences beyond the regular classroom.
Parents as Partners in a Child's Development
At MJS Mecheda, we believe that parents play an important role in a child's early learning journey. The Parent Facilitator Programme encourages greater parent participation and understanding of early childhood development, helping strengthen the connection between home and school and support each child's individual progress.
