(Kolkata Headquarters) Location: Kolkata (Head Office) Position Type: Full-time Department: Academics & Training Brand: My Junior School (Pan-India) About the Role Sharda Learning Systems Pvt. Ltd., the parent organisation of My Junior School—one of India’s growing preschool networks—is seeking an experienced and dynamic Academic Head to lead and oversee all academic operations across our centres nationwide. The role involves designing, implementing, and monitoring the academic framework to ensure high-quality early childhood education across all franchise and company-owned schools. Key Responsibilities Lead the academic vertical for My Junior School across all centres in India. Design, update, and implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with NEP and early childhood education best practices. Develop detailed lesson plans, teaching-learning materials, and assessment guidelines. Conduct academic quality audits across preschools to ensure consistency and compliance with brand standards. Provide training, mentoring, and continuous professional development to facilitators and academic coordinators. Work closely with franchise partners to ensure smooth academic delivery and address school-level academic concerns. Plan and execute workshops, parent-orientation sessions, academic events, and activity calendars. Collaborate with the leadership team to introduce new academic initiatives and improve learning outcomes. Monitor classroom practices and support teachers in adopting innovative, activity-based learning methods. Review and update academic documentation, manuals, and reporting formats. Qualifications & Experience Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education / Child Development / Education / Psychology (preferred). Minimum 7–10 years of experience in preschool or K–5 academic leadership roles. Strong understanding of early childhood pedagogy, curriculum design, and child-centric learning. Experience working with multiple school centres/franchise systems will be an added advantage. Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills. Ability to travel to various school locations as required.
