At My Junior School, assessment is a continuous, child-friendly, and observation-based process designed to monitor each child's overall development rather than academic performance alone. Our facilitators conduct monthly developmental assessments to evaluate progress across cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical, creative, and life skill domains.
Children are assessed against age-appropriate developmental milestones through classroom observations, participation in activities, practical experiences, and everyday interactions. The assessment helps identify each child's strengths, areas requiring additional support, and individual learning needs.
Parents are regularly informed about their child's progress through Parent-Facilitator Meetings (PFMs), progress reports, and the Parent Mobile App, ensuring a collaborative approach to supporting every child's holistic development and lifelong learning.
At My Junior School, every aspect of our learning environment is thoughtfully designed to support the holistic development of young children. Our infrastructure, learning resources, and classroom experiences are carefully planned to meet the developmental needs of children aged 18 months to 6 years, creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where they can learn, explore, and grow with confidence.
Our centres feature:
Together, these elements create a joyful learning environment that nurtures children's cognitive, social, emotional, physical, creative, and language development while laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
At My Junior School, we believe that parents are a child's first and most important teachers. We actively encourage a strong partnership between home and school, recognising that children thrive when parents and facilitators work together towards their overall development.
Parents are involved through regular Parent Orientation Programmes, Monthly Parent-Facilitator Meetings (PFMs), developmental progress reviews, counselling sessions, classroom celebrations, field trips, educational seminars, parenting workshops, and special school events. Our Parent Mobile App also keeps families connected with real-time updates on attendance, classroom activities, photographs, announcements, and their child's progress.
By maintaining open communication, transparency, and meaningful collaboration, we ensure that parents remain actively engaged in supporting their child's learning, development, and well-being both at school and at home.
Yes. Parents are requested to send a healthy, nutritious snack for their child each day. At My Junior School, we believe that healthy eating habits developed during the early years contribute significantly to a child's overall growth, development, and well-being.
To support parents, we provide a recommended Nutrition Chart suggesting age-appropriate snacks for different days of the week. The chart encourages a balanced diet by introducing children to a variety of healthy food groups, flavours, and textures while promoting positive eating habits from an early age.
Snack time is also an important learning experience. Children enjoy eating together, practise good hygiene and table manners, learn healthy food choices, and develop independence in a warm and caring environment. We encourage parents to avoid sending junk food, carbonated drinks, or highly processed snacks, and instead choose fresh, wholesome, and nutritious food that supports their child's healthy development.
