The ideal location for a My Junior School preschool is a residential or semi-commercial area with good visibility, easy accessibility, and a safe, child-friendly environment. A ground-floor premises is generally preferred for the convenience and safety of young children.

A built-up area of approximately 1,500 to 2,500 sq. ft., comprising 3 to 5 classrooms, 2 to 3 child-friendly washrooms, a reception area, office space, and an outdoor activity/play area (where feasible) is considered ideal for establishing a preschool.

Every location is unique, and the space requirement may vary depending on the local market, expected student strength, and statutory requirements. Our team assists prospective franchise partners with site evaluation, market analysis, centre planning, and layout recommendations to ensure the infrastructure meets My Junior School's quality standards and provides an optimal learning environment for children.

The investment required to establish a My Junior School preschool generally ranges between ?2.50 lakh and ?10.00 lakh, depending on the selected business model, location, centre size, infrastructure requirements, interiors, and local setup costs.

This investment typically includes the franchise fee, academic resources, branding materials, training, initial operational support, and preschool equipment. The final investment may vary based on individual project requirements and the facilities you wish to provide.

In addition to the initial setup cost, we recommend maintaining a working capital reserve of approximately ?2.00 lakh to ?3.00 lakh to comfortably manage initial operating expenses such as staff salaries, rent, utilities, local marketing, and other day-to-day administrative costs during the initial months of operation.

Our business development team will work closely with you to understand your requirements and provide a customised investment estimate and business plan based on your proposed location and preferred business model.

The manpower requirement depends on the size of the preschool and the expected student enrolment. For a newly established My Junior School centre, the following team structure is generally recommended:

  • 1 Centre Coordinator – To manage admissions, administration, parent communication, and day-to-day centre operations.
  • 2 Professionally Trained Facilitators – To deliver the curriculum and support children's holistic development.
  • 1–2 Caregivers (Ayahs) – To assist with child care, hygiene, classroom support, and daily routines.
  • 1 Security Personnel (where required) – To help ensure the safety and security of children, staff, and visitors.

As admissions grow, additional facilitators and support staff can be appointed based on student strength and operational requirements.

My Junior School provides guidance in staff recruitment, induction, academic training, and continuous professional development, ensuring that every team member is well-equipped to deliver high-quality preschool education and care.

There is no fixed fee structure for all My Junior School centres, as it depends on several local factors, including the city's economic profile, neighbourhood demographics, parents' affordability, competitor pricing, facilities offered, and the overall market demand for quality preschool education.

Before finalising the fee structure, My Junior School recommends conducting a comprehensive local market survey covering:

  • Existing preschool fee structures in the area.
  • Demographic profile and purchasing capacity of families.
  • Local demand for organised preschool education.
  • Facilities, programmes, and value offered by competing schools.

Our Business Development Team provides guidance in analysing the local market and recommending a competitive, sustainable, and value-based fee structure that balances affordability for parents with the long-term financial viability of your preschool.

Brand building is a collaborative effort between My Junior School and its franchise partners.

At the corporate level, My Junior School undertakes brand development, digital marketing initiatives, social media campaigns, creative design, promotional materials, website management, and other brand-building activities to strengthen the visibility and reputation of the My Junior School network.

At the local level, franchise partners are responsible for implementing admission campaigns and community outreach initiatives within their respective territories. These may include local advertising, parent engagement programmes, school events, open houses, neighbourhood promotions, and relationship-building activities.

To support franchise partners, My Junior School provides marketing guidance, promotional creatives, campaign ideas, admission strategies, branding materials, digital marketing support, and assistance in organising events, health camps, parent workshops, seminars, and community engagement programmes. Depending on the campaign and company policy, selected local marketing initiatives may also receive corporate support or cost-sharing assistance.

Together, these coordinated efforts help maximise brand visibility, generate quality enquiries, and increase admissions.

The responsibility for recruiting staff rests with the franchise partner, as they are best placed to identify candidates who suit the local community and operational requirements. However, My Junior School provides comprehensive guidance throughout the recruitment process to help ensure that the right team is selected.

Our support includes:

  • Defining the staffing structure based on projected student strength.
  • Preparing job descriptions and selection criteria.
  • Assisting in screening and shortlisting suitable candidates.
  • Providing interview guidelines and recruitment best practices.
  • Conducting induction programmes and academic training for newly appointed facilitators.
  • Offering continuous professional development through regular workshops, training sessions, classroom observations, and academic support.

This collaborative approach enables franchise partners to build a competent, motivated, and well-trained team capable of delivering the high standards of education and care expected at every My Junior School centre.

A My Junior School preschool can be established and admissions can be accepted throughout the year, as enquiries and admissions are not restricted to a single admission season.

However, from a business perspective, it is advisable to plan the launch of the preschool during periods that allow sufficient time for marketing, parent counselling, and admissions before the commencement of a new academic session.

In general, the most favourable periods for launching a preschool are:

  • October to March – This allows adequate time to complete centre setup, marketing, and admissions in preparation for the new academic session beginning in April.
  • July to August – Suitable for centres targeting mid-session admissions or regions where the academic calendar and admission cycle differ.

Sharda Learning Systems Pvt. Ltd. assists franchise partners in preparing a pre-launch roadmap, including marketing campaigns, admission planning, training, and inauguration activities, to help maximise admissions and ensure a successful launch.
